May Crowning
This is an annual school-wide celebration of the Blessed Mother. Officers of the Student Council honor Mary with a beautiful crown made of roses. The entire faculty and student body take part in this beautiful celebration.

Annual Alumni and Friends Mass and Reception
Alumni, parents and friends are invited to join Sr. Jean Liston, principal of Christ the King School from 1976-1988, at mass as she celebrates her Golden Anniversary as a Grey Nun of the Sacred Heart. Sister Jean will renew her vows during the mass. A reception will follow immediately after mass.

Annual Fund Appreciation Picnic
The Development Department hosts "Picnic in the Park". This annual event expresses gratitude to parents, grandparents, alumni, friends and faculty who contributed to the success of the Annual Fund as well as to welcome new familities in the CKS community. There are blankets and folding chairs, face painting, moonwalkers, hot dogs and ice cream. This is a great way to show appreciation to those who go the extra mile and to show new families the true spirit of Christ the King School.

Battle of the Books
May 8, 2008
Third through sixth grade students participate in the Battle of the Books. Grade level teams are made up of three or four students. Each team will read 20 books and complete with each other. The grade-level winners then go on to the Archdiocesan competition. The winning team at the Archdiocesan competition will bring home a plaque.

First Holy Communion
May 9-10, 2008
First Communion at the Cathedral of Christ the King is held during Friday evening and Saturday morning masses.

Newcomers' Coffee
A welcome for all new students and their families. Kindergarten and first grade students meet their guardian angels and students in grades 2 through 7 meet their student ambassadors and have a tour of the school.

Graduation
Graduation of our eighth grade students is held at the Cathedral of Christ the King. Monsignor Kenny celebrates mass and presents diplomas. A reception for the graduates and their families follows mass.
