Dedicated to creating supportive and uplifting learning environments, Mrs. Christine Mattke loves working with students to help them think critically and feel connected not only to their classroom communities, but also to the world around them.
Christine has spent most of her life in the Atlanta area, but she enjoyed life on the west coast during college, where she competed on the UCLA women’s rowing team. She has worked in the field of education for over 12 years, with this being her first year at Christ the King. Her affinity for Catholic education began when she was among the first class of students to attend Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Johns Creek, and she is thrilled to be joining the Christ the King community now. Prior to joining CKS, Christine served as an Instructional Specialist at a nearby charter school. She has taught elementary and middle school in public and charter schools in the Atlanta area as well as in Florida. Christine lives in Kirkwood with her husband, Rob, son, Miles, and Australian Shepherd, Gnocchi.
