For 15 years, Mrs. Kristine Smith has worked with children and families in both medical and mental health settings. She started her career in social work as a hospice social worker providing support for patients and grieving families. Following her experience at hospice, Mrs. Smith worked as a child and adolescent counselor in community mental health. Additional work experience has included working as the leukemia/lymphoma social worker at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston for 5 years. Upon her return to the United States after living abroad in London, England for 3 years, Mrs. Smith provided grief counseling in a private practice setting. As a Christ the King parent, Mrs. Smith says that she feels honored and thankful to be on campus serving middle school students and families.
