Meet Our PrincipalMrs. Melissa Lowry has worked in education for over 25 years, with more than a decade spent at Christ the King School. She’s passionate about Catholic education and values the opportunity to support students in all areas of growth, academic, spiritual, and social. At CKS, she’s served in a variety of roles, including Curriculum Coordinator and Middle School teacher of Language Arts and Religion. A native of Southern California, Melissa also served as principal of a K-8 Catholic school in South Pasadena. Over the years, she’s taught across a wide range of grade levels, from early childhood to middle school, and is known for bringing energy, compassion, and a sense of purpose to her work. She is the co-author of Answer Keys: Teacher Lesson Plans for Successful Parenting (Bright Sky Press) and regularly speaks at educational conferences and workshops. Melissa lives in Dunwoody with her husband and their two children, both CKS graduates. Known for her enthusiastic school spirit, she especially enjoys connecting with students through her favorite lunchtime tradition: competitive pickleball matches. When not at school or on the court, Melissa enjoys snow/water skiing and spending time with family and friends.
